Google To Launch An India Exclusive Mid-range Pixel Smartphone In Q3 Of 2018

Google will launch the Google Home & Google Home Mini on 10th April and they might even launch the Pixelbook Laptop alongside. However, Google is now being more specific to Indian customers. Google generally launches their own Pixel series smartphones at premium price tags across the Globe & India is no exception. However, that might change with an India exclusive Mid-range Pixel Smartphone which Google may announce sometime in Q3 of 2018.

As the main goal here is to make the device affordable in the Mid-range segment so, don’t expect flagship Hardware by any means. Mid-range Hardware with Good Cameras and Pure Android are the things that should be the actual purpose of this smartphone.

However, we don’t know how the pricing is going to take place here but, 30000-35000 INR is the price point we’re expecting here. Another thing that many of you might be expecting is that this device may come with a Notch. Well, that’s not probably going to happen.

The Display will probably adapt the 18:9 Aspect Ratio & come with a resolution of 2160×1080. However, it’ll not be an OLED of course so, it’ll be the first Pixel to come with an IPS Display. The SOC will be a mid-range one as well so, we’re expecting a Snapdragon 660 but, no strong pointers around that one right now. There will also be 4GB RAM, 64GB of Internal Storage & hopefully a 3000 mAh+ Battery.

However, don’t expect Dual Rear Cameras in this one. That’s something probably coming in the Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL later this year. But, because the device will use the same image processing in software as the Flagship Pixels, the Camera should be really good in it’s segment & it might even offer the best Camera for that price point.
