Today ASUS gave us a blast at IFA 2017 by launching three new 2-in-1 laptops & a dedicated Windows Mixed Reality Headset. The Range of 2-in-1 Laptops includes the Zenbook Flip 15, Zenbook Flip 14 & Vivobook Filp 14.
The Zenbook Flip 14 & 15 come equipped with 8th Generation Quadcore U-series Intel Core i5 & i7 Processors & both of them feature Discrete GPUs in a slim & light form factor. In the other hand, the Vivobook Flip 14 is the lower-end Fanless sibling of the bunch. Here are the main specifications for these laptops,

The existing Zenbook Flip S, Zenbook 3 Deluxe & also the Vivobook Flip S got refreshed with Intel’s 8 Gen Core i5 & i7 Processors. Also, there is also another Zenbook called the Zenbook 13 which ASUS didn’t talk about in the event. This device also features 8th Gen Intel Core i5 & i7 variants.
ASUS Mixed Reality Headset
The ASUS Mixed Reality headset supports Windows Mixed Reality platform. ASUS says that they have kept both design & comfort in mind while making the ASUS MR Headset. The specifications are listed below,
- Display: Two 2.89-inch Diagonal Displays, 2880×1440 (Total), 90Hz, 100 nits Brightness
- Camera: Two Inside Out Tracking Cameras
- Sensors: Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Magnetometer, P-sensor
- Controller: Two Controllers with 6 Degrees Of Freedom support
- Connectivity: One 4 Meter Headset Connection Cable, HDMI 2.0 (for Display) & USB 3.0 (for Data)
ASUS says that the new Zenbooks will have support for the Windows Mixed Reality platform & include support for the ASUS MR headset and also the ROG GL503 & the GL703 will support it as well with many more devices coming in the near Future.
