February 9th, 2008 | Filed under Technology.An inventor inspired by "Star Wars" is creating an item of household furniture that hovers off the ground to give a feeling of weightlessness.
It’s called the Lounger, and it’s an armchair that floats on magnets, thus allowing you to defy gravity. Thanks to the magnets, the seat and the base repel each other, so there are 14 inches of space between them.
The Lounger will be sold starting from March 14, and it will cost $11,000. Only 2,000 will be sold.
