A concept for a high speed and high capacity Personal Rapid Network was developed by an American company called UniModal Transport Solutions. Each vehicle has two seats and uses a Maglev system to travel. The guideways are spread in the city, on a one mile by one mile network. Every 400 meters or so, there is an exit portal, where people can get one of these vehicles.
All you’d have to do is simply get the first vehicle that is waiting and get on your way, without the waiting associated with public transportation. After that, enter your destination and the vehicle takes you where you need to go.
